why we like her?
If we didn't know any better, we'd be certain that the lyrics "wild thing... you make my heart sing" were written about Nicole Richie. Aside from renowned head-case Courtney Love, we have yet to encounter someone as feral as Nicole.
why is she famous?
First of all, she's Lionel Richie's adopted daughter. She also shares the screen with Paris Hilton on The Simple Life, The Simple Life 2: Road Trip and The Simple Life 3: Interns. You may also have heard of her arrest for heroin possession in February of 2003.

When you're rich, carefree and desperate for attention, you do just about anything you want. Some suggest that Nicole is no more than a subpar Paris Hilton, but they are mistaken. While Paris is definitely an elitist, Nicole is equally snobby, plus she was raised in the world of show business.

Nicole Camille Escovedo was born in Berkeley, California, on September 21, 1981. Her biological parents were Peter Michael Escovedo, a member of Lionel Richie's band and brother to '80s pop percussionist Sheila E., and an anonymous backstage assistant.
